Joe is Chief Executive Officer of Gigawatt, reporting to founder Brad Keywell.
At Gigawatt, Joe leads the company’s strategy, product direction, and go-to-market execution, focused on building the AI operating system for modern utilities. He works closely with leadership, customers, and partners to drive modular AI adoption, ensuring utilities can modernize operations with measurable outcomes, strong governance, and rapid time to value.
Joe brings over 20 years of leadership experience and more than 25 product launches. He was the founder of P6 Technologies, a SaaS platform designed to help companies design and model products with lower environmental impact using life cycle assessments. P6 began in renewable fuels, biogas, and renewable chemicals, delivering the first enterprise software solution for Life Cycle Analysis and enabling more sustainable product development at scale.
Previously, Joe served as Chief Product Officer at IBM, where he led product strategy and go-to-market for a $1.5B+ sustainability software unit. He was responsible for transforming the portfolio to double-digit growth, overseeing offerings across asset management, supply chain, AI, IoT, and environmental intelligence. During his tenure, he led major launches including the Maximo Application Suite, Maximo Monitor, Health and Predict, Maximo Mobile, and the Environmental Intelligence Suite, while modernizing platforms such as TRIRIGA.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University with a dual major in Finance and Management Information Systems. He is also the author of The Book on Software.
